Ryan Higgins visited our school today and read one of his books - Be Quiet.
He asked if anyone wanted to be an author or an illustrator. Almost everyone raised their hands!
He told us that the secret to getting to be good at writing was to practice - write, write, write.
The secret to being a good illustrator was to draw, draw, draw.
Ryan Higgins asked us to name some favorite animals. He took parts of each animal - a hippo's head, a snails's body, a Pterdactyl's wings and a raccoon's tail and he put those parts together and drew a new animal. Look carefully at the slides below an you will see it.
O-1 First Grades worked hard with Ms. McCormack to built a marble track around the classroom.
